In this writing we will continue with the topic in the last article on the Muslim / Christian unity. I raised the question: Can Muslims and Christians unite? We saw in the previous article on the basic principles of the oneness of God and unity the prophetic community that this unity can be achieved.

With the question answered regarding the unit, we will now see that Muslim believers and Christian believers working in such a unit in modern times for the benefit of our families, community and nation.

As I mentioned in the last section, our unit does not mean agreement on every issue, the theological position, the belief or ideology.

The operational unit

A lot of time was wasted in the community black, showing them where we disagree with each other's positions, creed, religion, program, platform or organization. We have seen and fall debates between Booker T. Washington and WEB Dubois, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan and Jesse Jackson, the civil rights movement and black power movement. If Adding the time of the debates and arguments of all people and organizations mentioned above, we see 100 years of progress stunted.

What is necessary because we do not all agree n soon?

I want to show the concept of unity operational as a principle for the progress of our community between the various brothers and sisters. The operational unit takes into consideration all our differences, but recognizes that the problem or situation at hand is more important than where we differ. We have tried everything under the sun to reach our goals as a people, yet their recognition is that we have a ways to go before all of us know freedom, justice and equality.

Looking back in time for the horrible events that transpired on September 11, 2001, we saw an example of an operational unit between Republicans and Democrats. In the wake of strikes by both sides made an attack was made on the country and they put aside their differences for the good of their nation. Every day in our community we face a number of issues including HIV-AIDS, black on black crime, the problems of man-woman relationship, the police misconduct and many others. The problems of our communities dictate the need for the operational unit for the love and the survival upfiftment. This brings us back to the question raised by this article: Should Muslims and Christians unite?

"God is not the author of confusion, but of peace "

The biblical quotation above from 1 Corinthians 14:33 reminds us that God's way is peace and order. Once I heard someone say that God deals with the mathematics of addition and multiplication, but deals with the enemy division and subtraction. The community Black is full of mosques, churches and other places of worship, but found all the evils and divisions mentioned above. We made love and mercy of God out of the picture to replace our selfish view of what is good or bad.

There is a story mentioned in Chapter 9:38-40 in Mark's Gospel where Jesus taught his disciples and through them all a lesson in tolerance. One day, the disciples came Jesus, upset and said that: "Master, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he did not follow us. "What was the response of Jesus to his disciples shortsighted? Does he agree or disagreement with their action? He said that according to the Gospel of Mark, "Do not hinder them, for there is nobody who will do a work powerful in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me. For whoever is not against us is on our side. "Unfortunately, many in the community have taken the attitude of the disciples about their brothers and sisters, ready to condemn them to hell if they do not follow their interpretation of the Gospel.

This attitude is also displayed by some Christians against their Muslim brothers and sisters. Jesus reminds his disciples that he has other sheep not of this fold. The Black Muslims are a 79 years history of the reform of our people, taking the worst of the worst and make them worthy. Muslims have demonstrated an ability to go in the worst prisons and turn the most hardened criminal into a law law-abiding citizens. We went to the crime and gangs and in areas affected by a matter of months have transformed into an oasis of peace. We the work of Jesus, casting out devils, among you, and yet there are those who prevent us from this work or seek to have nothing to do with Muslims. Where do we find the power to transform human life and communities? In the same God and the word that our brothers and sisters in. Christians believe in the Christian seek to unite with Muslims in the operational unit, we can share our tactics. The black preacher and the black church has been the pitfall of our communities, the time of slavery to today, so they have much to share with their Muslim brothers and sisters, who are willing to receive.

With this type of unit operation between believers in God, can you imagine the kind of progress we would reach to drive the demons of AIDS, crime, drugs, hunger, homelessness, police misconduct, unemployment, substance abuse, domestic violence that may exist in a neighborhood near you.

Muslims and Christians can unite? Yes! Should unite Muslims and Christians? Yes!
